How we get this numberStand with feet shoulder-width apart
Inhale and extend the arms in front of the body
Exhale, and slowly lower them back down
Let the arms rest by your sides and pause calmly
Grounded Closing Stand ends a sequence with a forward arm extension, a slow lowering, and a quiet pause. It keeps both feet planted and gives you a simple opportunity to finish a practice without adding another stepping pattern.
Extend the arms lower and closer to the body. Keep the knees soft without making a deep bend.
Rushing the final pause. Finish the lowering fully and allow a comfortable breath before moving again.
The app assigns 30 seconds to Grounded Closing Stand. Use that as a time block, with pauses whenever you need them. Move at the demonstrationโs controlled pace; the timer is not a repetition target. Watch the full movement once before following along.
You will find this movement in Gentle Morning Warm-Up, at step 12 of 12. It first appears on day 1 of the Standing Beginner 30-Day Plan. The day count below follows the extended version; shorter days can use fewer movements.
