How we get this numberStand with feet wide and knees softly bent
Hold hands in front at chest height
As you exhale, bend the knees and press the arms forward
On the inhale, straighten the legs and pull the arms towards the chest
Core Drive links a knee bend with a forward press, then straightens the legs as the hands return toward the chest. The useful detail is the timing between the lower and upper body, not the depth of the squat.
Use a shallow bend and a shorter forward press. Rehearse slowly before trying to match the demonstration’s rhythm.
Finishing the arm press while the legs are still catching up. Reduce the range until both parts finish together.
The app assigns 30 seconds to Core Drive. Use that as a time block, with pauses whenever you need them. Move at the demonstration’s controlled pace; the timer is not a repetition target. Watch the full movement once before following along.
You will find this movement in Core & Center Flow, at step 8 of 12. It first appears on day 2 of the Standing Beginner 30-Day Plan. The day count below follows the extended version; shorter days can use fewer movements.
