How we get this numberStart in a wide stance with the knees in a squat
Inhale and lengthen the spine tall
Place your hands on the thighs for support
On the exhale, carefully rotate through the waist, bring one shoulder towards the opposite hip
Turn your head in the same direction as the moving shoulder
On the inhale, return to center
Alternate sides with control
Grounded Twist Flow starts in a wide, bent-knee stance with hands on the thighs. A small waist rotation brings one shoulder toward the opposite hip before returning to center. The hands provide support while you organize the turn.
Keep the stance higher and make a smaller turn. Rest the hands lightly on the thighs without pushing into the knees.
Dropping a shoulder sharply to make the twist larger. Slow down and keep enough control to reverse the turn.
The app assigns 30 seconds to Grounded Twist Flow. Use that as a time block, with pauses whenever you need them. Move at the demonstration’s controlled pace; the timer is not a repetition target. Watch the full movement once before following along.
You will find this movement in Core & Center Flow, at step 7 of 12. It first appears on day 3 of the Standing Beginner 30-Day Plan. The day count below follows the extended version; shorter days can use fewer movements.
