How we get this numberStand tall with feet hip-width apart
Keep elbows bent and lifted out to the sides
Lift one knee toward the chest
Turn your torso to bring the opposite elbow toward the lifted knee
Step that foot down, then alternate sides like a slow march
Oblique March alternates knee lifts with a small turn toward the raised knee. The opposite elbow travels toward the knee as the foot lifts, then the foot returns to the floor before the next side begins. Keep the crossing action small enough to maintain an upright chest.
Lift each foot only slightly and keep the elbows lower. Add the turn after the march feels steady.
Trying to make elbow and knee touch at any cost. Reduce the lift and keep the movement controlled.
The app assigns 30 seconds to Oblique March. Use that as a time block, with pauses whenever you need them. Move at the demonstration’s controlled pace; the timer is not a repetition target. Watch the full movement once before following along.
You will find this movement in Core & Center Flow, at step 3 of 12. It first appears on day 4 of the Standing Beginner 30-Day Plan. The day count below follows the extended version; shorter days can use fewer movements.
