How we get this numberLean back slightly while gripping the chair to lift up your legs.
Bend your knees and begin pedaling your feet, just like riding a bicycle.
Move at a pace that feels comfortable while using your core to remain stable.
Seated Bicycle uses a slight backward lean while the hands grip the chair and both feet make a pedaling motion. Lifting both legs asks more support from the trunk than a march with one foot grounded. Keep the circles small and lower the feet to reset when needed.
Keep one foot grounded and alternate small leg movements, or choose Seated March instead of suspending both feet.
Leaning farther back to keep the legs elevated. Lower the feet and reset if the seat feels unstable.
The app assigns 30 seconds to Seated Bicycle. Use that as a time block, with pauses whenever you need them. Move at the demonstration’s controlled pace; the timer is not a repetition target. Watch the full movement once before following along.
Set a firm chair on a nonslip surface and leave room for the arm and leg movements shown. A chair without wheels keeps the setup steady.
You will find this movement in Chair Strength & Twist, at step 11 of 16. It first appears on day 4 of the Seated Advanced 30-Day Plan. The day count below follows the extended version; shorter days can use fewer movements.
