How we get this numberStand with feet apart
Place the hands behind the head with the elbows wide
Carefully hinge forward from the hip, maintaining a long spine
Fold forward about 45 degrees
Rise back to standing smoothly
Forward Bend Stretch uses a standing hip hinge with the hands behind the head and the elbows open. Fold forward from the hips, then return to standing with control. Keep the movement centered and choose a depth that does not require rounding the back.
Use a small forward hinge and let the hands rest at the hips if the raised elbow position is uncomfortable.
Rounding the back to reach farther. Shorten the hinge rather than increasing the bend through the spine.
The app assigns 30 seconds to Forward Bend Stretch. Use that as a time block, with pauses whenever you need them. Move at the demonstration’s controlled pace; the timer is not a repetition target. Watch the full movement once before following along.
You will find this movement in Legs & Grounding Strength, at step 10 of 12. It first appears on day 1 of the Standing Beginner 30-Day Plan. The day count below follows the extended version; shorter days can use fewer movements.
