How we get this numberStand tall and shift weight onto one leg
Lift opposite knee to hip height or lower
Lift the same arm, bring the elbow towards the lifting knee
Hold briefly, then switch sides with control
One Leg Balance shifts onto one foot and lifts the opposite knee while the arm on that same side moves toward it. It combines a balance task with arm-and-leg coordination. A low, brief lift is enough to study the transition.
Use a fixed counter for support and keep the lifted knee low. Leave the toes lightly touching the floor if full single-leg support is not manageable.
Chasing a high knee or a long hold while wobbling. Use a smaller lift and return the foot to the floor sooner.
The app assigns 30 seconds to One Leg Balance. Use that as a time block, with pauses whenever you need them. Move at the demonstration’s controlled pace; the timer is not a repetition target. Watch the full movement once before following along.
You will find this movement in Legs & Grounding Strength, at step 8 of 12. It first appears on day 3 of the Standing Beginner 30-Day Plan. The day count below follows the extended version; shorter days can use fewer movements.
